Family Guy's top 10 episodes
74Family Guy is an animated cartoon that follows in the "Simpsons" footsteps in that it is specifically for adults. This show centers around the Griffin family which includes Peter, Lois, Meg, Chris, Stewie and dog Brian. This is definitely a dysfunctional family that is led by the worst father of the year, Peter. Here is my list of my favorite family guy episodes.
10. Petarded
In season 4 we watch as the Griffins have a fun game night with their neighbors. While playing Trivial Pursuit, Lois switches Peter’s cards with the preschool edition so that Peter can actually answer some of the questions. When he lets this get to his head, Brian challenges him to have his IQ tested which reveals that he is actually mentally retarded. Peter sinks into a depression that involves calling all of his old girlfriends to warn them that they should get tested because he is retarded. He eventually lands himself in hot water when the kids get taken away from him because he is deemed unfit to care for them.
9. Stew-roids
In season 7 we see the Griffins enjoying a nice family barbeque with neighbor friends the Swansons. When Stewie and Susie Swanson get into a fight over a Barbie doll, she easily beats up Stewie causing him to examine his physical state. Disappointed with what he sees, he decides to bulk up with the aid of steroids. Also, in this episode we see what popular life is like for Chris when he starts dating Connie D’Amico.
8. McStroke
In season 6, we see what we all know is coming…Peter eats himself into a stroke after winning free hamburgers for life at McBurgertown. Angry with the restaurant, he tries to sue and when that doesn’t work he attempts to uncover a scandal and expose it to the public.
7. Meet the Quagmires
This episode from season 5 explores what could have been. If Peter hadn’t managed to woo Lois we see that she would have ended up with Quagmire and he would have ended up with…Molly Ringwald? In a world where Al Gore is president and Chevy Chase has his own show, we watch as Peter tries to right the wrongs he has made and put the world back the way it should be.
6. Peter Griffin: Husband, Father…Brother?
We get to see in greater detail the history behind the Griffin family in this episode from season 3 that reveals that Peter Griffin comes from African American descent. We watch as Peter explores his roots and then manages to become alienated by both black and white groups in Quahog.
5. To Love and Die in Dixie
This episode from season three takes the family to the deep south when they have to go into the witness protection program after Chris witnesses a robbery. Watch as Peter manages to alienate the entire town and Chris meets a new friend.
4. He’s too Sexy for his Fat
This episode from season 2 shows what life would be life if Peter Griffin was thin and attractive. When Peter realizes he is fat he gets liposuction to lose the weight. Peter enjoys being thin so much that he gets plastic surgery to further his appeal. Now, Peter has big muscles and an even bigger ego.
3. Road to the Multiverse
This season opener from season 8 had me laughing from start to finish. Here we watch Stewie and Brian travel through parallel universes until they eventually reach a universe devoid of everything.
2. Stewie Kills Lois/ Lois Kills Stewie
This two part episode from season 6, shows Stewie finally achieving his lifelong goal…to kill Lois. He follows Peter and Lois on their romantic cruise in which he shoots her and kills her…or so he thinks. Stewie plans this crime to every detail even the planting of evidence to frame Peter. In the middle of Peter’s trial, Lois appears and reveals who the true murderer is…Stewie! Now Stewie is on the run and Lois follows him to do what she should have done a long time ago…kill Stewie.
1. Death is a Bitch
This episode remains my all-time favorite episode. Airing in the second season,
Peter Griffin writes deceased on his hospital papers to get out of paying the bill. Later, the Grim Reaper or “Death” comes knocking on the door to collect Peter and we see the hilarious hoops Peter must jump through to escape his fate.

LOL I absolutely loved this Hub. Great work. What about the Star Wars episode? That one is definitely one of my favorite and I've never even watched the original Star Wars movie.
Very entertaining. Thanks for sharing. Out of curiosity I'd like to ask you a question. Do you also watch American Dad?
